About East West Communities
Eagle Landing came into existence in 2005 when East West Communities was selected to develop the golf course community for the highly successful OakLeaf Plantation community. Within two years of launching Eagle Landing, the Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) in Orlando presented East West Communities with several awards including the Grand Special Judges Award. This award is not offered annually and is one of the highest and most prestigious of all the Aurora Awards.
East West Realty (previously known as Eagle Harbor Realty and Eagle Landing Realty) was formed to help prospective homebuyers looking to move to northeast Florida. East West Realty’s first office was in Eagle Harbor where our agents helped over 3,000 families purchase new homes in the award- winning community.
Over the 20-year period of development at Eagle Harbor, East West Realty also helped several hundred property owners relocate and sell their existing homes or lots and continues that service today throughout northeast Florida. East West Realty’s office is located at 3973 Eagle Landing Parkway in Orange Park in the award winning community, Eagle Landing at OakLeaf Plantation.
The District was established in 1989 and East West Realty was formed in 1992. East West Communities began the developing and marketing of Eagle Harbor in Fleming Island, Florida. This ground-breaking community became the standard for future developments offering resort-style amenities. Eagle Harbor boasted three swim parks: the largest water park is home to the Screamin’ Eagle water slide, sandy beach and competition pool, a waterfront splash park and Creekside Park with a large screened-in picnic area and two story stacked stone grill, 12 lighted Har-tru tennis courts, championship golf course, soccer fields, lighted bike paths, a full-time recreation staff and more. It didn’t take long for Eagle Harbor to establish itself as one of Jacksonville, Florida’s premier residential communities. After only four years, Eagle Harbor was presented with the Florida Association of Realtors’ coveted ENVY award for environmental achievements and was named the “Best Planned Community in North Florida” by the Northeast Florida Planning and Zoning Council.
Since 1973, East West Communities has developed over 25 award-winning communities that are home to more than 20,000 families. The success story started when the original partners were a group of young real estate professionals working for one of the nations premier resort developers, Sea Pines Company on Hilton Head Island. The company purchased land outside Richmond, Virginia, with unprecedented plans of building a community that would offer a vacation lifestyle for everyday living. The first community, Brandermill, became home to 4,400 families and was named the Best Planned Community in America in 1977 by Better Homes and Gardens Magazine and the National Association of Homebuilders. The second community, Woodlake, also near Richmond, was chosen Best Planned Community in America by the 14,000 members of Urban Land Institute (ULI) in 1990.
