It is illegal to operate motorized skateboards, scooters, ATVs (all-terrain vehicles), ROVs (recreational off-highway vehicles),go-karts or similar motorized vehicles on streets or sidewalks.

These vehicles can only be driven on private property with the permission from the owner of the property or on public lands designated for ATV/ROV access. For most individuals this would be their driveway or yard. You may not ride or operate these vehicles on side-walks, bike paths or on the road. Florida law states, go-peds, mini-cycles and electric(e)-scooters are considered motor vehicles.
